I consistently use it, especially saltpeter and bonemeal due to how much you get. On my multiplayer save with a buddy I found a halite column so I'll be using whatever sylvite we can spare if I get enough out of it, although obviously not as much.
I'd use compost but it takes so much rot to make it I rarely have enough if I'm already going for Terra Preta.
I skipped the last half of the posts, but if people were worried about potatoes being too strong you could have wild potatoes grow in dirt, similar to high fertility soil.
I'd like for potatoes to be reproduceable(?) by cutting them into eyes and then burying them again with some growth failure chance or maybe a watering threshold (too high - mold/too low - dead) but that seems to creep into "just make it a mod" territory
I've been looking into this myself and I'm thinking about making an implementation as well. Don't Starve seems like a decent reference if you need any ideas, and there's also the Archi discord that has a forum for indev setups that has a vintage story thread active.
At the very least I'd be fine with it being an option, but at the most I'd rather text get changed to have some words be glyphs or unreadable still in some sense so that sentences still get garbled (maybe at the highest storm intensities only).
This just seems like something that only affects .1% of the playerbase (of the portion that use text chat in the first place) and should be modified by said user rather than destroying it for everyone else.
