I've recently become very obsessed with this game, me and my friends have accumulated nearly 70 hours on my main world and I personally have nearly 20 more on my personal build worlds.
Among my friends we have operated within distinct roles and I personally have taken a liking to preparing meals and with https://mods.vintagestory.at/expandedfoods downloaded I have become incredibly obsessed, this manifestation has been realized as me preparing a meal i have cooked several times for my friends in game in real life.
I present to you, Spelt bread and Fried (turnip) Spelt Balls with Rye Ale and Cranberry Syrup.
The bread is simply just yeast, water, salt and spelt flour.
The Fried Spelt Balls are basically turnip Latkes, made from spelt bread crumbs, spelt flour, shredded turnip, salt and egg fried in flax oil. They are seasoned, although with things I felt were fitting within the setting of vintage story: sage, fennel seed and parsley.
The Cranberry syrup is just a reduction of mashed whole cranberries.
The Rye Ale is Dark Kvass because I couldn't find anything more game accurate.
whole meal tastes faintly like herbal dryer lint, the cranberry syrup is the only thing making the fried spelt balls actually good. none tastes inedible or even outright bad, but I would probably get sick of this relatively fast if it comprised a significant portion of my diet.
