Me and my friend have been trying to set up a Vintage Story server so we can play together but nothing is going our way. Super frustrating. 1. I live in NA southwest so official server hosting is off the table because it is based in Europe. 2. Every vintage story server host like bisect and some other ones have been unplayable even with the more expensive tiers. 3. Self managed OVH dedicated servers offered the best performance but their data centers are either super far in Oregon or in the east coast so me and my friends get pretty high ping. 4. Hosting at home was possible but not that great because I am playing the game and hosting on the same computer. Same problem with using hamachi. 5. Hard to find a company to host my server. Either really bad hardware that costs 50 - 100 a month. Or good/decent hardware for like 200 a month+. There is not a middle ground. I think I am going to give up and just play on LAN unless anyone has any server hosting recommendations.
