One again had to struggle with my chimney This time I had to admit defeat and block it partway up, which is probably gonna bother me forever but at least I can keep it visually there... doesn't work properly anyway. I really hope some kind of fix can be found, though. I find the 8 block limit to be crazy restrictive, especially considering all the amazing building options I have at my disposal. Not being able to have a chimney just because I wanted to build a house with a second floor and/or a slanted roof is kind ridiculous.

A chimney block would be awesome! As much as I like the chiseling system, I really thing a specialized block would be best for this particular issue, especially since it directly involves itself with survival mechanics. I know there are perma-smoking chimney mods, but I just don't want to use those, because it will absolutely bother me for a chimney to be smoking when I know there isn't a fire on

I really like the way chimneys work in this game, but I've got to say I'm really disappointed with the 8 block height limitation. I've been building this awesome house on a mountaintop, but there's no way I can fit a chimney into the design unless I want to completely redo my roof (again)
