Hey guys! Kaedos here. I am a "veteran" gamer. I am currently 30 years old and have been playing video games for over 25 years. My favorite genres span from Survival, to MMOs, to Horror, and so on. I recently picked up Vintage Story. I found out about this particular game when it kept popping up on Youtube for me from time to time. To say that I have fallen in love with this game is an understatement. I started just a week ago, and I already have over 40 hours in the game. I work a full time job. I also decided that during this playthrough, I would go in mostly blind, and also stream my journey on Twitch. I will continue to try to play this way. This is a game is one that I really have been looking for. Does it have it's issues? Sure. However, I have found there hasn't been much thus far that has really perturbed me too much. From prepping for winter, hunting for food, growing crops, building my first tools, or even avoiding all the horrors, I have found this game to be quite rewarding in terms of progression and it leaves me with a feeling of satisfaction at the end of each play session. Don't even get me started on the building! This game really allows me to make virtually anything I want! Heck, I haven't even gotten out of copper era or even obtained my first animals yet! I am beyond excited to build, explore, and discover so much more! Not many games nowadays seem to be able to tackle the feeling of GOOD progression, but Vintage Story has done a great job of giving me that feeling. I love that there don't seem to be any shortcuts to reaching each new age. I won't give a super long winded review. But I definitely do believe that if you love Survival games with depth, real progression, and even lore to find, you should give this game a try. Also, the devs just seem to really care about this game. I really hope and look forward to seeing this community and game grow over time.
