  1. considering its a 20 day old topic i did. i'm responding to replies with my view on the way this mechanic has been handled (and a correction to a misunderstanding). considering the kind of game this is balancing something purely for multiplayer in a minecraft clone where the only people joining you are typically people you invite in (or a server where rules can be set) it seems pointless and frustrating. which is why i made the topic hoping a mod or similar solution had been created already. to which i got my answer. accepted that this would just be another pointless decision i dislike and moved on. more replies means i respond as that's how conversations work. being dismissive of my opinion because you don't like it adding nothing constructive to the topic is unnecessary and i hope something you reconsider next time someone has an opinion you disagree with rather then be rude and dismissive.
  2. i play solo. i imagine im not alone. im not interested in balance and i dont really see how this balances the game all that well in the first place considering it can be bypassed by everyone being clockmakers with little downside at the end of the day. i just want to be able to play on my own and experience the various parts of this game without being shunted into a specific class. why give me the option to remove class recipes then still stop me from using the items from those recipes? its multiple layers of security for what amounts to a fairly unlikely event that even if it happens would be happening with a group of people all agreeing to do this. i get this game has a design philosophy of "make everything more complicated" and with a fairly robust modding community im able to fine tune that to my liking but this just feels like overcomplicating something needlessly.
  3. only clock makers can tame and repair locusts. while anyone can make the spear only clock makers get access to the point of the spear. its unfortunately not a bug its a feature. one i do not fully understand to be honest.
  4. The issue isn't getting it. It doesn't work properly without being a clock maker.

  6. is there anyway to use clockmaker specific perks like tuning spear without being one? i know i can remove class requirements from class recipies but only clockmakers can use the tuning spear for hacking locusts. is there a mod to remove class specific traits entirely i couldn't find one. i like the class system in terms of perks and skills but not into gameplay features being locked behind them.
  7. i thought iron doors could be used in charcoal pits but it seems they no longer can and i couldn't find such a mod anywhere. is anyone able to make it? that or a solid iron door without a window that could be used for charcoal pits.

  9. its alright i guess the game just wont allow for rapid clicks via auto clickers and the like. its fustrating but i guess ill just have to find another solution. i appreciate the help.
  10. awesome thank you. just wanted to make some windows and wasn't super keen on hunting down lead which felt arbitrary.
  11. these are the settings im using. anything under 100 milliseconds causes the issue im having. the game minimizes and maximizes repeatedly then when i get it to stop my character while swinging no digging or mining is being registered. im trying to make digging longer tunnels easier on my wrists and hands so i can have long straight tunnels i can use as a sort of highway for easier ore gathering but the gam doesn't seem to like automated clicking. i was able to use click lock as an alternate solution but its not as simple as using the auto licker would be.
  12. i answered your question then you asked the same question again in a different way. my issue is the auto clicker i use is not working and in fact cause the game to open and close or outright refuse to dig if the clicker is on. im not biting your head off im confused as to why i need to give an in depth reason for why im using it beyond my initial reason.
  13. i couldn't find a mod that removes the need for lead in windows or adds a version of window panes that dont require lead is anyone up for doing this or can direct me to a mod that does?
  14. because when i need to spend hours making tunnels going in various directions holding down a button for that long is not feasible. because some of us can't keep clicking or holding a button down for extended periods. why does it matter to you? why do i need to explain myself here? i just want to know why its not working and what i need to do to fix that if i even can.

  16. im trying to use OP auto clicker 3.0 and any attempt to use it in this game results in the program and my computer bugging out but it only happens with this game. is there an option im missing?
  17. yeah i get that's part of the intended design but it isn't fun. not for me or any of my friends. i don't want to spend hours building complex mechanisms so i can spend even more hours gathering the immense amount of resources and spend even more time crafting ultimately temporary gear. i want to explore and build and i'm not doing that if 70% of my time is spent making steel with a process more complicated than making steel in real life. i get its a draw for some but for me it hit my limit for tedious grinding and im the kind of person to happily spend days or months grinding in mmos. its unfortunate i guess because without such a solution i might just walk away from the game for now. im having fun but not being able to make any of the upper tier of gear without dedicating all of my gaming time at the expense of all other games is a no go for me.
  18. is there a mod that would allow iron to behave like most other metals? i really don't want to go through that process at all if i can help it if im being honest but at minimum id rather that process reserved for just steel and the rare limited use metals at minimum

    Soil mod?

    is there a mod to simply prevent soil nutrients from decreasing? i don't really want to have to screw around with crop rotation and fertilizers its more than i'm really willing to deal with.
