  1. I'd like to see a mod that changes how large tools and inventory work to an extent. Basically you wouldn't be able to hold large tools like shovels, spears, pickaxes or such in your toolbar. If you swap away when holding one it will either drop it or put it in your off-hand if it's free so you can use your main hand without dropping the tool. You'd have to keep your tools in check and stored in convenient locations. Small tools like hammers and such should still be storable on the hotbar or for extra immersion the tool belt from SaltyWater As for backpacks they would need to be placed to access. Similar to how Carry on lets put stuff on your back but it would function for your backpacks instead. A specialized backpack would have attachment points for tools so you can still carry them around but it needs this backpack or some kind of sling. Maybe hemp bags or baskets will allow you to drop items in them but still need to be placed to take stuff out so it doesn't interfere with gathering berries and such too extensively. Different bags working differently or the toolsling thing would have you needing to vary up your choices instead of just using the bags with the biggest storage. Being able to seemlessly place bags in the environment to swap to another would make this less tedious as well. I really like the idea of more inventory management and world interaction. I would even go as far as not being able to store stacks of stuff like firewood in your hotbar but instead they would stack in your hands and you have to carry them to your location or a wheelbarrow/cart for carrying more further.
  2. Is it possible to use claims in SP so you can't just build anywhere? My idea was to change up the play a bit hopefully involving towns. Essentially someone else (an NPC) owns the land and you have to work to earn and expand your claim to build your base up. Ideally you'd have all kinds of methods of doing this. My hope is that towns would have various merchants that you can sell stuff to for money. Starting small with things like lumber or ore but as you get your claim you can start earning more money with complex things like tools or wine. Or more specialized stuff like furniture or clothes. Maybe even some way to include trade by making towns specialize so you can spend your time traveling between them and giving you more reason to do so. You'd also be able to buy tools if you can't craft them yourself yet. Or you could buy ore to process instead of having to go find it yourself. I'd also really like to see some sort of quest system at a guild within the town so you can earn money fighting or gathering herbs instead. Maybe a tax system so things don't stop with you just getting your claim. Bigger claim means higher taxes to compensate for your larger working space. This kind of thing is probably pretty easy to pull off on a server with a lot of people but my hope is to make it completely standalone in an SP world. Adding more adventure, industrialization and adventure for the SP players as currently you don't need to develop too much only needing the bare minimum to provide for yourself. This would make it so you need to consider an income and have some more progression to your base building. 1: Is it possible to have claims in SP with a trader (lord) that will sell it and expansions to you? I'm not entirely sure how claims work since I've only played SP and am pretty new too. Ideally you'd still be able to do basic stuff without a claim like place fires, log, dig, place beds, etc. But building more complex things would require a claim. 2: I've seen there are a few mods that add villages players can develop but is there a way to spawn already established villages for the player to visit and interact with? Ideally with space for them to spend the night if they don't want to spend the night in the wilderness. Being able to have a functional inn would be amazing, having to pay to spend the night in safety and for food but I'm not sure how that would even work in this game. (Perhaps an even more complex mechanic would be the town improving as you provide it with materials and goods giving you better options/prices) 3: Is is possible to add taxes to claims requiring you to pay money on a fixed basis to keep your claim? 4: How feasable would it be to implement a quest system? Ideally it would ensure the required items/monsters you need will actually spawn. 5: I am not a modder but I am interested in learning and work on this myself if need be but since I'm new I don't really know what is possible. How feasable is any of this and how hard do you think it would be to implement it all together?
