    You can recycle copper when you haven't crafted it into a tool head yet together with some non-tool items, such as plates, chains, lamellae, rods etc., by crafting it together with chisel like shown in this picture
    Or by smelting it in a bloomery
    Other than that there could be a mod for it, but I don't know much about mods as I am a pure vanilla player (yet)
