Yeah that's what worries me! People will look at this game and ask "Is that a Minecraft clone?" And will lose interest without even checking the game. Witch is a shame!
I second this. It's what I initially thought too, luckily enough I was in a peak of being interested in something akin to Minecraft, but oh boy did it turn out to be something else entirely. All friends I try to get into it just seem to shrug it off as another clone and not pay attention, such a shame.

26? damn. I've only ever found 3 variants in my 20 hours of play in a world. Now that's not that much I know, but I too really don't see the point in that many variants.
I guess I've felt the same with some other aspects of the game. For example there's so many diverse versions of trees and logs, yet there's only a few basic animals. It feels a bit unbalanced in terms of variety. I guess my issue is not necessarily that there's 26 versions but that it overshadows the other options.
I wish there'd be more types of other food sources too, like more berries, fishes and the likes. I suppose that's also why the game is Early Access, we will see.- 1

Try using a VPN in combination with a fresh PayPal account. Do note it's not quite legal to do so according to PayPal's anti-fraud rules, but it's an option you got if you only want to do it for this one payment.

It's just that people are familiar with what they get when buying on Steam. They know the refund policy and the support they can get. That doesn't mean third party is any less good, it just means it has a much harder time proving itself because it's lesser known to people.
