Is there a realistic future for Vintage story? If 1 million people actually bought Hytale, and lets say half of them Actually stay past the first month to continue playing, and a quarter of that plays on servers, will there be any progress to Vintage story with 659 players vs 125,000. In terms of development alone, will this game be able to keep up with fixing bugs and adapting to player/mod driven content? Is this game studio actively working with its community to help influence and drive change fast enough to stabilize its footprint? If this game becomes more of a single player experience, why buy this and not Valheim? When world of warcraft hit the market, NOTE Everquest2 already existed.. it didn't do something completely new, it just pushed when others wouldn't. World of warcraft stayed alive thoroughly up until the end of The lich king, and microtransactions corrupted the community. In the time that Warcraft was out it squished the entire market. Tomorrow Hytale releases and begins to grow. Was vintage story meant to silently die? Can it be modded into Hytale? What now?

VS is great and all, don't get me wrong... But I'm only here because Riot killed the dream of hytale from my perspective. Make it one game. We are in early access.. if Hytale truly was everything yall meant it to be, take the hit and migrate everyone. The only thing I can say that would keep me on Vintage story without getting that minecraft burn out is Chiseling and maybe one major mod that overhauls your game. Vintage story was one of the closest things we could get, but it still could use wynncraft, botw elements while retaining that minecraft sandbox feel. The chiseling with mods makes vintage story great (like in image), but without the true adventure and items like skyrim, botw, I'm in a grind loop. Where else can I start to imagine the possibility of storage cabinets but in VS. But the amount of cool s#@% I can store is limited. I like the art design in VS I'm not going to lie, it gives me a more mature impression of the game, and doesn't feel catered towards children, but also feels grim and dull at times. Hytale looks like it could make the easy sweep anyways no offence. This is going to create a bad split if I'm being honest, both of these titles specifically existing. Black and white divide in the community between games, some stupid apple android drama.
