Bush fires leave behind strange baked in light

Has anyone else had this issue where strange ambient light lingers after grass/bush fires burn down everything? The don't seem to go away and are very noticeable at night.
Sometimes destroying the blocks around the area removes the light, but otherwise a lot of pockets of my map are covered in these weird lights. Any advice?
