Yeah, I had tested in creative to see if I could get like a slab of glass and a slab of the cobblestone that would be close enough and get them to stick. Bit unfortunate it didn't work, but I was kind of expecting it not to lol. Seems like it'd be difficult on the engine.

Is there a way to keep/put the border back onto glass when chiseled (without mods)? Restoring a rather large ruin and really like the way the bordered glass looks with the stone, but some of the pieces need to be chiseled away and have glass added in order to get it to look like the original ruin. Shame slabs seem to be like minecrafts where you can't combine two different blocks, not that it would help anyway since aged ashlar blocks don't have a slab/stair varient.. Edit: Forgot some wording.

Not sure if this was a glitch/bug, I don't have any mods that explicitly say you can mine these, but looking around (at least in earlier versions) you aren't supposed to be able to get these? The top area wasn't protected. Is there really no way to be able to open and close them?

I'm trying to play as vanilla as possible, even having keep inventory on is making me kind of lose interest in the playthrough I have with friends (sadly it's the only way to get them to even play). Thanks for letting others know that's an option though.

That's unfortunately what I thought, but was unsure if I was just getting super unlucky with my ruins (both house and cave ones). Most of the loot I've gotten from them, save for torch holders and crates, hasn't really been worth the effort. The last ore vessel I broke gave me THREE copper nuggets... I find more than that anytime I see surface copper...

That is the location I found some at, the one you mentioned is one of them and can be broken down into 80 pieces. The Gold Gear looks very similar but is smaller and doesn't have some of the gem looking decals on the model. Not every I found in the story areas can be broken down, I was very disappointed to find out you cant break the shield Boss pieces.. I only have a couple mods installed, I can get a full list and a screenshot of the gear once I'm home, but none that should have changed that or list it to my knowledge. The ones I know for sure im using (but not the names) are a bed respawning one, one to reuse skeps, and a bee cosmetic. I'm want to keep the game as close to vanilla as I can. Edit: Checked mods page for those 3, BedSpawn, SkepDrop, and BuzzyBees. None say anything about adding relics or allowing more things to be broken down. Edit 2: Only other mods are for the map for multiplayer and don't affect items. Also attached the picture of the Gold Gear.

Posting this in the "Suggestions" part of the forum would probably be a better place, if it hasn't been suggested before. If you're not wanting to go the modding route.

Just started working on the story part of the game, and without getting too much into details for spoiler stuff, wondering if some of these items can be found other places? There were a few relics, to name one the Gold Gear, that I've noticed can be broken into Omok pieces. I don't want to break these down if this is the only place I can get them and I can't seem to find any info about them on the wiki or anywhere else.
