I'd love for this to be implemented. However it'd be nice if it were just a cosmetic feature. But any of this feature would be pretty cool. I'd imagine it'd be like chiseling but with smithing.

I think this would be a fine way to bridge the gap, that way it remains purely cosmetic in nature, but still allows for a degree of customization. However, as it's stated bellow, it might be difficult to do so.

It is a nice idea, but the game does not actually use the voxel models for most crafted items. Which means most of the mods still would be needed as the mods provide the actual 3d model not only the crafting recipe.

  2. Were missing the easy route here; it could just be a cheap weapon for when you first start getting into the clay era and can just mold a simple block onto a stick and make a slightly primitive, yet heavy and effective mace.

I'd say not 4 but the whole layer same as when there is already a pile (it's 8 with firewood, 12 or 16 with shingles...)

I wholly agree with this, the first layer and then every consecutive layer just makes more sense as well.

It's not primitive survival.  It's Creatures and Critters that adds crocigators.

My reason for saying Alligators is that they're not nearly as aggressive as people believe them to be, crocodiles give alligators a bad name. Crocs will absolutely turn an area of humans into a hunting ground, alligators just wanna be left tf alone, but if they're hungry and you wanna play stupid... They might choose violence. Or just hand out and do nothing and wait for something to walk in front of it.
