bbushh Posted November 1, 2023 Report Posted November 1, 2023 I am wondering whether wolves only spawn once so you can clean an area out to make it safe....I have looked for a mod that will do this but they seem to nerf them too much OR too little.

I got constant wolf problems on a plateau in a densely bushed area that is nowhere near a forest. Also it is not that they can respawn, rather than that they WILL respawn... which leads to my favorite bi-yearly activity - LUPICIDE!!!
Owktree Posted November 11, 2023 Report Posted November 11, 2023 The terrain has climate and heat map ratings for degrees of forested, shrub, rain, etc. The command "/wgen pos climate" will show date for where the player is standing including the average temperature. The json file for wolves indicates that a forest rating greater than 0.5 and a rain rating greater than 0.25 is required. Assuming, of course, that this code is actively used as part of the spawn process.
