Cedar77 Posted March 12, 2024 Report Posted March 12, 2024 Hello, I had started chiseling and created some nice windows. However, these act differently than the full glass-block windows, If it's raining, you don't get the calming rain-drops-against-window sound but rather it sounds like you are standing outside. Same in winter, your character lifts the arm to protect himself from the cold when I'm standing too close to the window. Tried searching the forum for this but did not find anything. I double triple checked if I missed any voxel pieces but the wall is completely closed. Is this a known issue? Am I doing something wrong?
Cinbadrio Posted April 5, 2025 Report Posted April 5, 2025 If you use /debug rooms hi, it will show if a room is enclosed or not (red or green). From what it sounds like your window doesn't count as an "insulating block," so it would show as unhighlighted. It explains on the wiki: "Chiseled blocks count as valid blocks for rooms, with the following limitations: The inward facing side must be almost solid (less than 20 voxels missing), and at least 50% of the blocks volume must be retained"
Gecko107 Posted April 7, 2025 Report Posted April 7, 2025 Would be nice if there was a mod that allows thin chiseled blocks to count for rooms
Brady_The Posted April 7, 2025 Report Posted April 7, 2025 (edited) There's https://mods.vintagestory.at/heatretention (doesn't include sound functionality), but it's currently only available till version 1.19. 1.20 support hasn't been added yet. Edited April 7, 2025 by Brady_The 1
