May I suggest wagons similar to the smallest ones used by traders that could be pulled by tamed animals. Distances with the default settings are vast and days are very short. Having a mobile home rather than just some extra storage would allow the player to spend more time traveling, exploring, and collecting resources, as they would not have to build a shelter every night.
