boyo Posted December 23, 2024 Report Posted December 23, 2024 (edited) I was looking through the in game wiki thing and saw that dirt can be turned into cob using grass, but can't see if there's any point to making it, the wiki here doesn't say anything about it. is there any point to it other than maybe adding some texture to some builds? Steel General Posted December 24, 2024 Report Posted December 24, 2024 Like packed dirt, cob is not affected by gravity - this is only relevant if you play with soil instability. Unlike packed dirt, cob will grow grass and allow flowers and saplings to be planted on it. Also, you get many more blocks of cob than the dirt it took to make it, so if you need to fill volume and were going to use dirt, add grass and use a lot less dirt. 1
Kevin Eric Snell Posted December 25, 2024 Report Posted December 25, 2024 Ooh, hadn't thought of that, used as a filler. I do like filling in my surface-level mines once they're done.
