OK so to start - before going in on 1.20 rc i was playing my last world with a hot climate start. Before that i usually played temperate and even if i walked as far south to get into hot climate i kinda never got to farming those hot loving plants before.

So on my last world it was very different experience food-wise - like termites instead of berries at the start and when it came to farming a totally new plant for me - cassava.

The mechanics of it are weird and kinda very different than any other as first to be able to do anything with the roots you get after gathering full grown crop you have to soak them in water (in a barrel) and after they are ready already they start drying. In the short period of time when they are soaked and still drying they are treated as a vegetable and you can eat them in that form and get vegetable satiety or use them in meals - as a vegetable. After the drying process they are no longer considered a vegetable and you can grind them in a quern to get flour.

But the problem i encountered is when making meals with it while it is still considered vegetable. And from what i gathered online it has been in the game for a while now but i still dont know if its considered a bug with the mechanic still waiting to be perfected/fixed/changed in some future update when they get back to it or not.

To test it out i made vegetable stew with only cassava in a bowl and in a crock and meat stew with cassava added as a vegetable side:

As you can see (sry for poor quality had to resort of taking pic of my monitor as couldnt take a screenshot at the time) when in a form of vegetable stew, both in a bowl and in a crock you can still see its drying and see the % but in the form of meat stew you cant see that - but in fact the cassavas in there are also drying in the same rate.

Im not 100% sure how much time it took - probably between 2-5 days but eventually id all dried off and i was left with:

The vegetable stews kinda seized to exist in a way - you could still eat them and get an animation but you wouldnt feel any satiety or get any nutrition of it, and the meat stew was all meat left so you get the satiety and protein nutrition only.

Im pretty sure it is not suppose to work like that but just wanted to share and ask at the same time as i know there is no topic for bugs and im not really familiar with https://github.com/anegostudios/VintageStory-Issues/issues which from what ive read is used now to report bugs now. Is it worth making my way to it and posting on there? Any of you lovely vintarians noticed/had similiar issues with cassava? Pls do share Your thoughts.

Peace Grummsh
