Fox Juice Posted February 9, 2025 Report Posted February 9, 2025 So I'm on a server with some friends, and we are in our first winter, I really like snow, but we settled in an uncommon rain area. I want some snow, so I use the "/weather setprecip" set it to 1 and enjoy a bunch of snow, problem is, that there are these sounds that keep repeating and happening, it's like a wave crashing onto the shore of a beach, or a bunch of water coming down at once. I went into creative to try and discover the source of this sound, didn't really find anything, but I noticed that when the sound happens a bunch of what I think are raindrops fall from the sky all at once. (Also note that this sound only happens in our area, because we have another settlement near a lake and it doesn't happen there.) Is this a glitch for using the command? I want to have snow, but the sound is really, really annoying.
gilt-kutabe Posted February 10, 2025 Report Posted February 10, 2025 (edited) Is there a missing water source block in a nearby pond/lake/farm/etc? Flowing water can be obnoxiously loud, and a bit tricky to pinpoint in larger bodies. I’ve no ideas if that isn’t it. I don’t think high precipitation can do that, but if it’s bugging out, someone else might know. Also, I think there’s an option in the sounds menu to control weather volume, like rain. Does the sound still play when that’s turned off? Edited February 10, 2025 by gilt-kutabe
Fox Juice Posted February 10, 2025 Author Report Posted February 10, 2025 Yeah, the sound goes away when I turn down weather sounds, i'm pretty sure it's like, a bunch of rain coming down at once because now I'm double sure a bunch of raindrops come out of the sky when this sounds happen.
