Does anyone else dislike bow animation?

I like how they tried to make the bow animation immersive but if your target is below you, eg. you are on a slight hill, there is zero visibility because the bow does not move downward in the direction the character is looking.  This is even worse when the field of view is increased. Its like the character has scoliosis of the spine and cannot bend forward.  I tried some mods to see if this can be corrected.  I read that the bullseye mod might address it once its updated but not sure if it will.  Is there anything else a person can do to make this usable besides switch back to spears?

Have you tried playing with the "First person hands Y-Position" slider in Settings -> Interface?  I find that helps with visibility over a shield when you're crouching.  Maybe it helps with bows too.

Thanks this helped a lot!  I didn't see this option.  I also disabled the experimental immersive first person mode and was able to make this work better with my ultra wide monitor.

This is more like how it looked when I was playing 1.19 a few months ago.  I guess I lost this setting when I did a clean install and started over with 1.20.

That option is experimental for various reasons, this being one.

What I generally don't like is how we seem to be left handed bow users for some reason.

As for me, I don't like that I constantly shoot myself in the foot. Maybe in the knee. It happens every time I hang a rope ladder from the cave ceiling and shoot back at a group of nightmares
