ItsJustChronos Posted April 4, 2025 Report Posted April 4, 2025 When viewing the crafting spec for Woad Blue Cloth, it shows both "Mordanted Cloth" and "Plain Cloth" as an option. Can you skip the Alum grind and dye Plain Cloth? I am preparing for crafting the Blue Tailored Gambeson, and could save a lot of time if so. If the Mordanted Cloth can be skipped, is there any reason one would use it? First forum post here, and Im new to the game. Thanks for the help!
Solution ifoz Posted April 4, 2025 Solution Report Posted April 4, 2025 (edited) With blue and brown dyes, yes. You can just apply those straight to plain cloth. For all the other colours, it needs to be mordanted first. The only real reason you can use mordanted with blue and brown as well as plain is just in case you happened to have a stockpile of mordanted cloth, I suppose. Edited April 4, 2025 by ifoz 1
