RosyDawn Posted July 8, 2025 Report Posted July 8, 2025 Hi! New player, first time posting. Time seems to have sped up for me in the game. An in-game hour is taking roughly 30 seconds for an in-game hour (which I believe is supposed to be 2 minutes). I checked /time speed and it is still set to 60. I tried setting to 15 to see whether this would help, but it didn't seem to have any effect. Is this a bug or a feature? Is there any way to reverse it? I'm worried it will make the game unplayable, as I am plowing through food and torches like crazy. Rosy
RosyDawn Posted July 8, 2025 Author Report Posted July 8, 2025 (edited) After a bit more googling I found this thread, which explained the problem and the solution. Time is back to it's usual rate for me. Edited July 8, 2025 by RosyDawn
Never Jhonsen Posted July 8, 2025 Report Posted July 8, 2025 (edited) By any chance, did you sleep, log out, and log back in with this issue? There is a bug where if you log out shortly after waking up, time will continue to speed up as if you are asleep. A common (but not guaranteed) fix is to try sleeping again. Edit: I posted this at the same time you posted your reply glad you found an answer Edited July 8, 2025 by Never Jhonsen 2
RosyDawn Posted July 8, 2025 Author Report Posted July 8, 2025 Yes, that was it. I didn't notice the issue when I first woke up. Sleeping again did the trick. 1
RosyDawn Posted July 8, 2025 Author Report Posted July 8, 2025 In some ways it would be an interesting feature for the game, given the themes around 'temporal stability'. 1
JelliBelli Posted August 14, 2025 Report Posted August 14, 2025 (edited) Hopping in to say I also got sped up right after I got intoxicated with my brews. It's such a startling but such a cool mechanic if it's intended to be that way. I haven't found anything else aside this yet so am glad to at least see I'm not the only one. Seeing it as the bed being the issue and fix, makes me kinda miffed that it wasn't a feature. Still tho, my guy's having one hell of a trip fr fr x3 Edited August 14, 2025 by JelliBelli

Its more a bug than a feature. Happens sometimes when you get into bed, and leave it too soon. Or with some mods that implements teleport (home, and last location), it could also trigger that bug. Only way to fix it is getting into a bed, and sleep the time away.
