Weird dimming of monitor after starting and closing vintage story

I just downloaded Vintage Story and when i minimize or even close my monitor will swap from normal to dim constantly. It will only stop after i either restart my pc or disable and re-enable HDR settings on pc. kinda frustrating not sure what is happening or why.

Hey, I’ve had the same problem in some games (including this one). This setting fixed it for me, but use it at your own risk—I’m not a computer expert.

Note: This setting also enables Auto HDR in some games (unfortunately not in this one).

Go to:
NVIDIA Control Panel → Manage 3D settings → Program Settings → vintagestory.exe → Vulkan/OpenGL rendering mode → Set to “Prefer Layered on DXGI Swapchain.”
