Raft Camera

So for as long as I've been playing this game, the raft has thing thing going on with the camera. Seemingly at random, the camera will just suddenly adjust itself and point 'forward'. Meaning in the direction the raft is pointing. I don't understand the logic behind it. Sometimes it goes for minutes, other times it'll snap forward almost immediately after moving the camera. Why does this happen, and how can I make it stop?

Having this happen whenever I play my modded singleplayer. Kinda stutter when walking too, it's like I get teleported back a milimeter. My current guess is performance causing lag with the internal server. Whether or not that is true or if this game even uses an internal server kind of like Minecraft is unknown to me.

Had a similar problem before I realised the game was lagging due to insufficient ram. Now I pay a lot more attention to the ram remaining when installing any new mods.
