Boofo Posted August 1, 2025 Report Posted August 1, 2025 Hey all, I wanted to show off the bar I built a few months ago. Over time I've added some small details and random bits of furniture, but most of the build has been complete for a while. I named it "Comet Bar" because my base was built on top of a meteorite, and most of the cobblestone is made out of suevite. This is also why I chose to make the window a big circle, as it seemed fitting. I was planning to add an artificial meteor sticking out of the roof, but I wasn't sure how I would go about that and decided that I liked it enough as it is. Moving on, we have some inside shots. This is around when I first started messing with the chisel, and had a lot of fun making my own furniture. (The wooden tankards on the shelf are from the Tankards and Goblets mod.) \ This building is sort of an armory as well, whatever armor I'm not wearing I put on display by the entrance. I also found a neat cow skull far south, so I brought it back home for decoration. (The bear armor is from the 1.21 release candidates). Plenty of room for a group to hang out, have a drink or two, and play some board games (tabletop games mod is installed). Here's a closer look at the table. I made pixel art of a flaming meteorite as a cool design, I used claystone for the inner rock and red clay shingles for the flames. This was one of my favorite details. Then there's the kitchen, where I make pies to stockpile in the cellar below. And finally, the boring bit. I didn't decorate the cellar, it's pretty much just for functionality, though I might spruce it up a bit at some point. The whole reason I built this bar was because I found out you could make wine in this game, so naturally I needed a place to store and serve it. And that's the whole build! It's nothing crazy compared to the insane stuff I see posted here and on the discord, but it's pretty homey and serves as a good place to relax every now and again. 11
Krougal Posted August 1, 2025 Report Posted August 1, 2025 (edited) Many barrels! I approve! Really, this whole thing is beautiful! I usually end up building a large wine cellar under my regular cellar. I just can't help myself, and since Tyron made the wine last several years now, I make even more. Mrozak Posted August 1, 2025 Report Posted August 1, 2025 (edited) I would move all those trashcans from the front of the bar to the back. Having them near the rear exit would be much more convenient for the staff. It would also help as it wouldn't disgust and scare away your customers anymore (unless you don't empty them regularly, then the whole place would still smell like an armpit anyway). Other than that, nice! Edited August 1, 2025 by Mrozak 1

Echo Weaver Posted August 2, 2025 Report Posted August 2, 2025 Dangit, looking at other people's builds makes me so sad I seem to be completely unable to come up with anything interesting on my own. I love this. It's just the kind of rustic thing I'd want to use as a base in my game. (I realize it's a bar.) 1
