Created a world with Terra Prety a few weeks ago and I just have a few questions on using world gen mods. ( I think I regret using the mod even though its beautiful!)

I assume I'm stuck using this mod for good on this world and there isn't a way to move on from it.

With the features being released in the new update e.g water features. Will I need to wait for the Mod to update to add these features into its world gen?

Sorry If these are stupid questions!

There's no such thing as a stupid question :)

When it comes to mods that alter the vanilla terrain generation, the answer is usually Yes. Removing the mod will create chunk borders, where the mod's terrain mates with the vanilla generation, usually creating steep cliffs and jagged terrain.

I recommend waiting, yes. You can look into backing up your world, and then trying to see if the 1.20 mod works under 1.21, but with the upcoming changes to terrain generation in 1.21 I'm gonna assume it will not work 😔

There are so many terrain mods on the Mod Database, and they're all so lovely ❤️ But. Using terrain mods come at a price, and it's one I'm not willing to pay 😔

Thank you ever so much for your response.

I think like you its a price I'm not willing to pay, I decided to cut my losses with the world and start afresh.

I am hoping this newt one will be my forever world and it can update with the game as intended.
