Mutedolphin2 Posted August 5, 2025 Report Posted August 5, 2025 I'm not exactly sure what's going on. I'm on an mac and I just got this game. When I tried to boot it up, it said that it can't be scanned for viruses or malware. I opened anyway and it closed immediately. There was no crash report or anything. Every time I click to open Vintage Story, it closes immediately. If someone could help, I would be very grateful. I've just been so excited to try this game and it not working out is really a bummer. 1

Parenn Posted August 5, 2025 Report Posted August 5, 2025 Do you have anti-virus software? Did you allow the application to be launched in Privacy & Security (the bundle isn’t signed).
Pervy Posted August 5, 2025 Report Posted August 5, 2025 Sounds like your anti virus thinks its bad for you. Might wanna check the program, and see if it says its blocking it or whitelist it as others said. A easy check is to turn off the anti virus and run it. If it dont run its not that, if it does, well its it.
