Sindalash Posted September 5, 2025 Report Posted September 5, 2025 I've been wondering about digging pit traps for wolves and baiting them in, but don't know enough about how their behaviour works. I hope someone here can help me. The basic idea would be - to dig a deep enough pit (can wolves jump? how high? can they climb ladders? can they jump to ladders not starting at ground level?) - to bait the pit with a chicken (can I place the chicken on a block above the middle of the pit? Would wolves try to path to it and fall in, or see it as not path-able and ignore it? How would I keep the chicken from falling down - would fences around the chicken prevent wolves from trying to path to it?) and then to come by with bow and arrows (or stone spears). Bonus question: how close do I have to be to activate the wolves so they start hunting?
