chushpajz Posted October 31, 2025 Report Posted October 31, 2025 I bought the game yesterday played for maybe 2 hours and most if it was spent troubleshooting. The problem is that the game stutters and microstutters, I played on the High preset and I've tried both lowering and increasing the render distance because 256 blocks is not enough for me, didn't help lowering nor increasing. I'm using RTSS ato monitor FPS and frametime and the frametime graph is going crazy My specs are: RTX 3060 Ti Ryzen 5 5600 G.Skill Aegis 32GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM 512GB M2 SSD Kingston KC3000 If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this I'd appreciate it very much because I like the game and don't want to refund it
hstone32 Posted November 1, 2025 Report Posted November 1, 2025 All my performance woes thus far have always been due to nvidia's awful firmware. I believe I have your same model of gpu. which drivers are you using? I hate that so many computers these days come with nvidia hardware packed in. Never tried amd or intel gpus yet, but they can't possibly be any worse, right?

Unless you're using linux though, I wouldn't recomend switching between drivers per use case.

I found that most of the stuttering happened when loading new chunks, and it stopped almost completely when I'd been playing for a while and wasn't loading a bunch of new chunks in at once. Having a lower render distance at first helps, though it is pretty annoying when you're trying to explore; you can increase it without trouble once you've loaded the chunks for the first time. Putting the graphics on a lower setting and then manually setting the render distance also helped.
