I am playing a duo coop world with a friend while I host, and he bought an elk from the treasure guy with the Resonance Archives reward. However I cant ride it, a little notification alerts me that I am not the owner and therefore can't really do anything
Evilel Posted November 27, 2025 Report Posted November 27, 2025 https://wiki.vintagestory.at/Special:MyLanguage/Mount my understanding is if they remove the medallion anyone can ride it.. but the bone flute to call the elk won't work any more and the elk will no longer appear on the map.. if he removed his medallion and you placed yours on the elk then he wouldn't be able to ride it. i am assuming you currently don't have enough rusty gears to buy a second elk.. theres also pillion cushion for a second player to ride on the elk with the other person (second persons just riding shotgun like in the raft) 3 1

However if you're intending it to be a community elk, I would build a stable to keep the elk contained and prevent it from wandering and then just keep the flute and medallion in the elk's saddlebags when it's not being used.
