For those construction blocks like Roof edge, windows, stairs, they have directions that matters when planced.

and in WorldEdit, when using fill function to replace a selected area with current holding block, each of the bolck replaced follow the default facing directions (and usually they are not desired), it will not change no metter where are you facing at and where you stand.

I'm wondering how to manual change the direction of each block?

or alternatively, how to construct a massive roof top with worldedit tools effectively?

Thankyou

Hi,

Sorry - don't have an answer. Just some thoughts that may help.

* Check the World Edit commands, in case placing blocks in a particular orientation is something that can be done by command line, rather than the GUI:

* Skip World Edit for roofs and use a mod such as One Roof, which many people recommend for roof building anyway:

* Accept your fate that roof tiles will need rotating, and install the Wrenchable Rooftiles mod:

Thank you for your response, it is very useful to find other way around.

Seems like there is no vanilla feature to support my need.

Tried few commands from the wiki page, although I believe they suppose to do something else, but as they are relevent to "rotation' I still tried,

but no luck.

  • /we impr [0, 90, 180 or 270]
When importing block data using /we imp the imported block data will first be rotated by given angle.
  • /we impflip
When importing block data using /we imp the imported block data will first be vertically flipped

Those mods are very good, thats a plenty of relieve for me. Thank you
