mattk2003 Posted December 25, 2025 Report Posted December 25, 2025 Hello, I am trying to Open to Internet and I keep getting a UPnP error. "Internet hosting failed: No UPnP or NAT-PMP device found. Please make sure your router has UPnP enabled" Opening to LAN works, but internet does not. I have tried to open to internet, and the person I'm playing with has tried too. Both of us keep getting the error message. Our routers support UPnP and have it enabled. I have never had this issue before, so please help if you can.
KDBOrion Posted December 25, 2025 Report Posted December 25, 2025 Hi @mattk2003, how are you? I am very new to the game, so unfortunately I cannot offer you any advice in this regard. I have friends that I regularly play games like this with over the internet and the easiest way we have found to achieve this is with a VPN. Products like tailscale (which we use) or zero tier one allow you to create a "LAN" between computers over the internet. I believe this is similar to hamachi, but I don't know it very well. They would essentially function as if they were plugged into the same network. If you are doing this, please be aware of the security risks involved :). I hope this helps somewhat.
