  1. Ok sounds good. Yeah ever since this post I have gotten better use out of it. I’m also curious if making it a 4-sided windmill would be worth it since the turbulence and proximity changes for multiple windmills next to each other. I’m gonna try a few things out once I get more flax after winter.
  2. I think it only has 4 sails on it. Could be that I just have been unlucky. I was just paranoid that I’m losing most of my efficiency due to something with my set up. Thanks for the response! Since this post, I’ve gotten a good amount of work out of it.
  3. Hello all, I'm currently experiencing some trouble with torque with my windmills, or maybe it's something else entirely. Basically, the windmill does not rotate hardly ever. In strong winds, I can helve hammer an iron bloom. Most of the time, however, I can't even power my quern. I've built windmills in the past and always have a similar set up to this one. The only difference here is that I made the distance between my machines and windmill a bit longer (taller windmill than usual). Windmill Rotor is at Y: 150 Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions. It would be much appreciated!! Entire windmill: (Hole at the bottom of mountain is entrance to my machine area) Top of windmill: Axles all the way down: Currently have it hooked up to a quern and it's not spinning at all:
  4. We just made episode 3! We built a pretty cool castle!
  5. I primarily watch your videos along with Dialko (though I know he only has a few). Solstin is another good one. I tend to enjoy the long form content without someone screaming about 100 days of ______. Curious who else has a similar style. I've started making my own videos, and you/your style has been a big inspiration for me.
  6. Hi everyone, I wanted to share a recent change in my life that has brought me so much enjoyment, and I wanted to thank this community for how supportive they've been. I recently started a YouTube channel recording Vintage Story (and a couple crappy Hytale videos), and I have absolutely loved it! I started off by recording 2 Hytale videos (because the game had just released, and that's what I was playing at the time), but quickly pivoted to my favorite game Vintage Story. Some of you may have seen my forum post under #videos, but I started a series with my wife because I only play with her, and we both enjoy Vintage Story immensely. We are currently still working on our third episode, which is taking a while because we decided to build a castle lmao, but we both have loved the process and it serves as a nice little memory for us to revisit later in life. But after posting it, it got 200 views! We were, and still are, so beyond thrilled that 200 people enjoyed watching us play! Since I had a little more free time recently, and my wife had to work more, I decided to record 2 videos: one just for some tips that I've learned and another as a guide for prospecting. And then, something crazy happened... My tips video got almost 10,000 views! And my prospecting video is sitting around 1,000! My channel has also grown to 104 subscribers! This post is in no way to boast, or brag. I just feel so thankful that so many players have tuned into my channel; to share in what me and my wife regard as our favorite game of all time. Thank you Vintage Story, and thank you to the people who make this game so amazing.
  7. Episode 2 is up now //media.invisioncic.com/r268468/emoticons/smile.png We’re really enjoying making this series I hope you guys enjoy it too! https://youtu.be/rzwzP1TmF34
  8. Hi all, Im not sure what the rules are on posting YouTube videos here, but I wanted to share a Let’s Play that I’m starting with my wife. Let me know what you guys think //media.invisioncic.com/r268468/emoticons/smile.png Husband & Wife Play Vintage Story | Episode #1 https://youtu.be/XnTPeBJfArw
  9. Hello, I am trying to Open to Internet and I keep getting a UPnP error. "Internet hosting failed: No UPnP or NAT-PMP device found. Please make sure your router has UPnP enabled" Opening to LAN works, but internet does not. I have tried to open to internet, and the person I'm playing with has tried too. Both of us keep getting the error message. Our routers support UPnP and have it enabled. I have never had this issue before, so please help if you can.
  10. I have generation 1 pigs and they have all eaten 7+ portions and are "Ready to mate", but won't. Only one of the pigs is pregnant and the others have said "ready to mate" for more than 7 in-game days. I have been feeding them and they still won't. It is currently December 8 in my game, would that be the reason why?
  11. I like this idea. They should be named "flapjacks" because that sounds cooler.

    Roof Help

Roof it on that layer with the typical roof blocks and inner/outside corners. Then maybe add another smaller layer to the top? Make it like a tower. Then, roof that smaller layer the same way and it should look cool. Maybe clay shingles or simple thatch roofing (since you're early in your game plus it just looks better)?
  13. Dig deeper than you think. About 45 blocks should do. Then just move horizontally and use the node search.
  14. I believe it is MoCreatures mod. Snake on.
  15. I love this idea! I think snakes would be cool in certain biomes and would make for a good variety hostile creatures (or neutral). When I first started playing I swore I heard snakes in the ambience and thought they were already in the game. Would also be cool to have a small hostile creature. Fits with the theme of adding some creepy monsers/animals. Could possibly be low health and high damage—hiding in bushes or reeds. 10/10 should be added
