SchaeG1 Posted April 24 Report Posted April 24 Rooms, while not a major mechanic, are important. /debug rooms hi/unhi is an extremely underwhelming tool, especially with complicated builds. It would be nice if it could show where (which block(s) specifically) is causing the problem rather than just highlighting the entire room red or green. Additionally it would be helpful if it could tell you what a room is missing given what room you would like to make it. For example if you wanted a room to be a greenhouse but didn't have a glass roof it could tell you that's what your missing, etc. 8
Los_Kiwitos Posted May 13 Report Posted May 13 Yes, I agree. I think maybe some text in the "c button menu" could be a start.
Heegrim Posted May 28 Report Posted May 28 I hope we get a temperature system overhaul with the status effect update. I’m not expecting a full on fluid simulation but it would be nice if rooms had their own temperatures that could be affected by heat sources and how well insulated they are. The room algorithm already identifies where holes are so it could just give the room an insulation percentage that affects how fast heat is lost. I want to actually have to light a fire in my house to warm up during winter instead of just standing in a closet while it’s -20 degrees outside. 2
