Nick Salt Posted Sunday at 11:18 AM Report Posted Sunday at 11:18 AM I want to build a greenhouse but I don't know where to put it. My build is a smallish house with a walled fortified garden, fields to the west, and woodlands to the east. I've attached a top-down view of my homestead, sorry for the poor quality, it's been raining for days! I've found I over produced this year, so I'd like to scale back a bit and spend time growing some interesting unusual crops instead of just max flax and turnips. Do I build it within the walled garden? The patch to the northwest heading towards a lake? sacrifice some farm land to the west? TIA for any input
Fawkesian Posted yesterday at 12:24 AM Report Posted yesterday at 12:24 AM Nice build! If it were up to me, I'd plonk the greenhouse by that path, or maybe even a little further spaced out. It can be nice to have a couple things leading up to your main base - gives it more of an "established settlement" feeling. In one of my worlds I have a greenhouse on a cliff by the sea, and it's one of the first things I spot when I'm coming back from a sailing trip. Makes you think: "I can see the greenhouse, I'm nearly home!" All up to your personal taste though, of course! 1
