We pride ourselves on fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful space where players from all backgrounds can create memorable stories together. The Introduction to Our World: The world's wealthiest and most powerful nations—the Republic of Bastille, the United Kingdoms of Pretannia, the Eternal Empire of Voldensk, and the Sovereign Principality of Saodeo—stand on the precipice of an industrial revolution. Each seeks to gain a decisive advantage over the others, yet all are hindered by the same obstacle: a crippling shortage of resources. Into this growing crisis steps an inventor named Jonas Falx. Falx presents each nation with a solution. If they provide him with the last of their remaining metal reserves, he promises to construct a device capable of opening a path to a new world—a dimension rich with untapped resources beyond imagination. Driven by fear, ambition, and greed, each nation agrees to his proposal. In return, Jonas demands only one condition: he and his followers must be the first to enter this new realm. Desperate for any advantage and unaware that Falx has made the same bargain with every rival power, each nation reluctantly accepts. But Jonas has lied. Those who accompany him are not the greatest minds of the age. They are zealots—men and women who worship him as a prophet and believe they are embarking on a one-way pilgrimage to paradise. Jonas's true ambition is far darker. He seeks to merge man and machine, creating a new form of life free from the weaknesses and mortality of humanity itself. Once through the portal, Jonas discovers that time behaves differently in this strange realm. Years pass for him while only days pass in the world he left behind. Through secret communications, he reaches back to his followers, urging them to spread his message. "Join me." "Cast aside the shackles of flesh." "Become eternal." Weeks pass. No official report returns through the Translocator. Concerned, representatives from each nation travel to Jonas's compound. They find it abandoned. Only the humming Translocator remains, endlessly repeating a single message that every visitor somehow understands: "Send more." The truth becomes painfully clear. Jonas has deceived them all. Outraged and humiliated, the nations immediately accuse one another of sabotage, conspiracy, and betrayal. Diplomatic relations collapse as each government scrambles to understand what has happened. Military expeditions are sent through the Translocator in search of Jonas and his followers. Weeks become months. The compound surrounding the Translocator is declared a demilitarized zone, though peace exists there in name only. Treaties are drafted and discarded. Alliances form and dissolve with alarming speed. Every nation seeks control of the gateway while avoiding open war. Eventually, the ruling classes begin to lose interest in funding costly expeditions with little immediate return. A new solution emerges. Rather than risk soldiers, nobles, or scholars, they turn to the common people. The new world is advertised as a land of limitless opportunity—a place where anyone brave enough to venture through the Translocator can claim untold wealth and forge a new destiny. After all, if fortune is found, those in power can always take their share later. "Why should the wealthy bear the burden of exploration when the common man will gladly do it for them?" And so the call spreads across every kingdom, empire, and principality. A chance for riches. A chance for land. A chance for a new beginning. You answer that call. Unaware of what awaits on the other side. Yet willing to risk everything to find out. Features Classless Character Progression Forge your own path. Grant Grimm Posted July 1 Author Report Posted July 1 February 18th From the pen of Lucious Grimm, I write this hurried as I have just returned from the depths; after tracking the cultists above ground I finally witnessed them entering one of the gorges. I descended silently and came upon a group of them, which I dispatched silently; there is no sign of Jonas but his ranks are legion. I was able to procure a talisman that brightens the depths itself, though I do not know what other capabilities it possess. Of the initial group we have developed a working settlement, found materials such as copper and several metals to forge bronze and arm ourselves. Should we be able to find passage home, supplies for our nations. There are few left of us now, consolidating our efforts only made sense. Should more settlers continue to stream through, we will be able to protect them or at least assist in helping them set up their own homesteads. The Twin Forks settlement in which I reside remains untouched for now, not suffering the same fate as Fort Hope and it's commander, Lord Blackbane. We will continue to build and begin fortifications this spring. Should this one day be read by my family, know that everything is ultimately being done to ensure the future of Pretannia.
