Big Bad Posted July 16 Report Posted July 16 In the ancient world, and in Buddhist architecture especially, the beautiful red-orange pigment vermillion was used to treat wood, lacquerware and other materials. This pigment is made through a toxin mixture of cinnabar and sulfur heated into one black mass and then ground into a fine red. Since both cinnabar and sulfur are in the game, as well as the pulverizer technology, I think this pigment would be a unique way to stain wood for crazy expensive mega-builds.
