Mansen Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago With the upcoming update focusing on UI/UX, I figured it would be a great time to once again suggest PROPER Maximized fullscreen mode - aka. Actually filling out the full screen like dedicated Fuillscreen mode, instead of leaving the OS taskbar visible and shrinking the game window. I genuinely can't think of any other game that handles this mode like this, and it is... genuinely frustrated having to set it to dedicated fullscreen and having to deal with the slowdown of alt-tabbing between the game and anything else. Yes - Mods exist to supposedly fix this, but they're all server side, which doesn't help anyone playing online.
jerjerje Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago If you don't mind the slight inconvenience, you can use the command .resolution 1920 1080 after joining a world (Replace 1920 1080 with your monitors resolutions). Since it is a client-side command, you should be able to run it on any server (though I haven't tested that). You have to run this command every time you restart the game though. 1

I don't know what mods you're exactly talking about, but in a quick search I've found only two which seem like they may do what you're asking - Borderless Window Fix is client-side though it doesn't explicitly fix the issue so I'd need to double-check, and Borderless Windowed Fix (HDR Fix) is kind of client-side but labeled as "both" for some reason - could try to get the mod author to fix it. 29 minutes ago, jerjerje said: If you don't mind the slight inconvenience, you can use the command .resolution 1920 1080 after joining a world (Replace 1920 1080 with your monitors resolutions). It can be made more convenient by setting up a macro. Open the macro editor with Ctrl + M, and configure the macro: Select any macro slot. Assign whatever macro name you want. Assign any keybind you deem appropriate. Enter the command in the "Commands" box. Press "Save". Otherwise, yeah, it's pretty disappointing. It's been a known and common issue for a long time, most notably GitHub #6116 but there's also a lot of related issues and duplicates around, and the mod that fixes it (the second of the two I've linked) is genuinely pretty trivial. Mansen Posted 3 hours ago Author Report Posted 3 hours ago (edited) You almost got my hopes up, but unfortunately the first mod you linked doesn't seem to actually work. It's enabled, it appears in the mod selection menu. But regardless of whether I am in a singleplayer or multiplayer world, the option never appears in the dropdown list. Edit: As for mods being serverside. The one I found previously (which is also linked in the git issue, which I found previously) is indeed serverside. https://mods.vintagestory.at/borderlesswindowedfix Edited 3 hours ago by Mansen

Fair, was going off of the mod description, and comments didn't mention issues. Your best bet for the time being if you can't use the other mod is to use the .resolution command as described up above (note that you can find commands in the command handbook, accessible from the pause menu or with the .chb command) and optionally set up the macro to make it more convenient - the command is the manual way to do exactly the same thing as that mod.
