Mod request: Villages

I know the developers plan on adding villages to the game eventually, but I get the feeling it will be a while, with more important things taking first priority.  I also realize that villages might be to complex to mod.  I would try to do this myself, but I have absolutely no idea how to mod and I am very busy with school.  I think something like a slightly less complex millenaire would be really cool.  Let me know if you would be interested in coding this, I would like to give input and discuss it. If no one is interested, if someone could give me some pointers on learning how to code something like this, that would be great too.
