Most of us were strangers 14 days ago, and now we've turned into a community. Currently 6 players in one area, and I recently upgraded the server so we can take on a few more, as a second community of newcomers starting at the same time as one another. What it is - Survival-focused, non-roleplay server with a large number of mods - Building QoL (chisel tools, beam, path, and stair mods) so you don't need to be a good builder to make something you like - Immersion and survival depth: woodworking, fibercraft, body temperature, hydration, expanded cooking - Horses and riding, plus additional ships - Extra classes, including multiclassing - Light magic via Alchemy - Additional player models and attributes - A mod guide and a class guide, with descriptions and links to help you orient yourself Who we're looking for Newcomers to Vintage Story interested in a non-vanilla experience and people looking to start a slower-paced playthrough in an untouched area of the map, with a more advanced group also on the server as a neighboring community. Honest note We've been live for about 2 weeks, so we're ahead of a brand-new world. We've been fine-tuning the modlist and working out gameplay kinks, and there might be some more adjustments to come. Join if you want to be part of something still evolving. You can't just yet. It was put into 'whitelisted mode' and has to be pulled out of it for anyone new to join. I would say to join private/public servers hosted by other people, but my experience with that has been...only okay. Most are already full of established friend groups. I'm looking for a smaller server to join or start, let me know if you're interested.

I'm relatively new to Vintage Story, only had it a few months, and I've tried a few multiplayer servers. Everyone's been welcoming, but I'm really interested in finding other beginners/newcomers to learn/explore the game and mods with.

Wow! I haven't seen anyone else mention Scribe before, but it is a fantastic mod! It updated the day i downloaded the game the first time, so i saw it by coincidence, but have loved it ever since. And I was thinking of starting a little multiplayer server, specifically for a nomadic playthrough, because i am doing the same--get up to copper, then start a new world or change servers, basically, lol. this thread has given me a lot of ideas.

Hey. I joined a new server that I like which is a world only in year 2, just got the 1 settlement and a few scattered bases. And a big volcano. I feel weird advertising for a server that's not mine, but it's called Volcania and is pretty easy to find online. It's trying to do something specific, though, and is a little difficult on purpose.

Ok, so, I deleted the original post that turned me into a billboard for a server and now it's a billboard for me... Horizontal move, probably, but I'm still looking to add the spice of fresh friends to the soup that is the server I am currently in! Ok, so, vaguely cannibalistic metaphors aside... Join me?

Hey! Sorry for the late reply. Are you still in the server? Did you join the discord?

(edited) It's impossible to recommend a server. What are you looking for? Public, Private? Huge server with constant activity, big but quiet server with scattered ghost town settlements from before you joined, small server with daily players and class-locked content, tiny server that's just starting up a unique experience crafted through curated mods? I joined as many servers as humanly possible in a short period of time and found those, liked them, and can recommend. I may still be on the same server(s), or something new and shiny might have come along by the time you're reading this. I'll recommend myself instead: I'm new to Vintage Story and actually never played Minecraft. I like other games, usually. I used to RP on the internet back in the day and fiddled around with writing some. Now I make money doing something else. I don't know what I'm looking for in a server, but I'll know it when I find it. If I could wave a magic wand, I would manifest a friend group that is into VS and we would all go crash whatever server I'm on--and kindly assist our neighbors while thrashing Mother Nature for survival supplies.
