Yeah, that makes sense. I usually only play up to the stone age (I've made black bronze in molds due to RP, but other than that I don't do blacksmithing most the time) and just continue like doing that. I have played the game for 2 years and only recently done farming so when I was making my place and had so many spawns because I was making a quarry cause I felt like being a dwarf so was like "Can you make something like in Minecraft using the dark". I'm not really looking to farm the mobs I just want somewhere I can do pottery or something during storms but can kill things safely. This year is my "seek out knowledge" year lol

Can you not just build a place that gets dark and then a hole they all drop down into and you kill them that way? Some kind of battle tower?

You also have to worry about servers that advertise that they are RP servers and then they enforce nothing. I recently left Vintage Story Civilizations because of these issues. Youtube videos fake you out and the server is 100% different. I filed a ticket because someone made it very obvious they were dm'in someone outside of game about ores on my land and I was pretty much ran off my land over it and staff told me "RP is not enforced". I may have been a hermit/cave dweller but 90% of my interactions were just people usin hotmics, talkin slang, bringing up IRL politics, etc. It's really hard to find anything decent. I have a friend that is doing one but he's looking for testers and stuff for it though so fingers crossed his can get up and running because he wants something more RP heavy.

I'm struggling a lot with this right now on a server that was advertised as RP but voip broke and their prox mod is also not workin either so everything goes to general and apparently they don't enforce RP but if prox chat actually worked I think it would be WAY better. I would love the game to have somethin like that.
