  1. I hate to bump a thread unnecessarily, but I've just discovered this little quirk of how the world generates as well and now I wish I hadn't. I looked into those mods Pixelated mentioned, but it's one thing to say we can edit a mod and another thing to know how to edit it. For now, my awful kludge of a fix based on Outlier's shitpost informative diagram: If you make the vertical world size 3x whatever you make the distance from the pole to the equator, then - SO LONG AS YOU ONLY HEAD SOUTH - you can experience travelling to the ice wall of the southern edge of the flat world. This is probably the best 'fix' until elocrypt's Equator Realignment Patch comes out of patreon early access. EDIT: That said, because world size is powers of 2 and polar-equator is decimal, the only substantial combination of size/distance that lines up is 600k world size + 200k pole-equator distance.
  2. Funny thing is, with the moon shape change in 1.21 I was wondering why they hadn't gone ahead and changed the sun to be round as well. Now I guess we know why. ... Bring back the round moon!
  3. Hello! This is a great game and I have sunk a lot of time into it. I like to play with soil instability on so you can't just build things out of soil. That said, I have a suggestion or maybe just a gripe: I feel like soil shouldn't have a 1:1 ratio when turning it into packed dirt. The nature of packing dirt would make it seem like you're trading volume for hardness, and packed dirt IS stable compared to soil, so I think you should lose a bit of what you put in. The same for rammed earth - IRL ramming earth is a lot more involved of a process involving compression via wooden molds and weights (plus additions of gravel & sand and such), so to have it be a 1:1 ratio of packed dirt to rammed earth seems silly. Not to mention that with how obscenely plentiful (and relatively useless) soil is, there should be some way to dispose of it by compacting it into more useful materials. I'm not saying have it be like 2:1 for both processes. Loose soil to packed dirt could be like, 5 blocks of packed dirt for every 6 blocks of soil, and then like 4 rammed earth to every 6 blocks of packed dirt. Just to make it feel like there's something going on. Alright that's my very specific gripe over thank you bye

  4. Hello! I've noticed with the new fog effects that while the visibility of most things are affected, the skybox is not, leading to sights like the attached image where everything is grey EXCEPT the sky. Is this unintentional/a bug I'm experiencing, or is this just how the fog shader(?) works? Any insight or corroboration on this would be appreciated, thank you.
