I am not sure if this is intended, but if I take a crock down from a shelf for just a moment, and put it back it will loose several days of perishability. I get that if you were to open it up and take some food out it would probably spoil a little faster, but just holding the pot in my hands for a few seconds doesn't feel like it should course it to go from spoiling in a week to spoiling tomorrow... It weird because anything else like berries, grain and vegetables does not do this, while I feel, if anything, touching raw produce with my dirty hands would probably accelerate the rotting faster? I am completely new to the game so I might be doing somthing wrong, but this just feels like a bug?
