my dad and i live in the same building and both use the exact same router. when he hosts a game on LAN, it uses his local address (192.168.1.2) and i am able to connect with no issues at all. when i host a game on LAN, it uses my public address as opposed to my local address (192.168.1.3) and he is unable to connect to my game.
i've spent a good few hours on a world and building a home and i really don't want all of this effort to go to waste, and i also want to be able to play by myself while he might be busy, so simply giving him the world isn't really an option. we aren't able to open to internet because our ISP given router doesn't support port forwarding, restarting the router and my pc hasn't worked. does anyone potentially have a solution? what can we do?
if it helps at all, my isp is Dodo and the router is a Huawei HG659
