The doors are frequently buried in the mountain RA spawns inside; my first two worlds generated RA about 15 blocks below the surface, and about 30 blocks from the red X. I'm afraid you'll need to start excavating!

I haven't seen any special enemies, but it is crawling with high-tier Shivers and Bowtorn (mostly Corrupt). According to the wiki, Shivers have a chance to drop Jonas parts and gears so I've been trying my hand at it. Stressful as hell tho. Elk archery is the only reliable way to outpace the Shivers, and the fact you can accidentally skewer your poor steed makes even harder. Going back for the corpses is not easy. I didn't actually know about any caches at that location! Besides hunting the outskirts, I got in and out fast.

With the release of Shivers and Bowtorn, my old Temporal Storm kill boxes are just not cutting it anymore. Does anyone have ideas for dealing with the Bowtorn onslaught and Shiver-proofing pit traps? Shiver's extended range and climbing has made the footprint of kill boxes difficult to standardize to also capture our good friend the double-headed drifter. Additionally, I've been farming gears and jonas parts in mostly on elkback, but the process is slowgoing and dangerous. I'm looking into kill box solutions for this area as well, but given the preponderance of shivers it definitely needs new data. I'd love to hear how others are adapting to the new mobs!

The tendrils look like old steam train boiler explosions. Given the pipe networks in RA, some of it could be burst machinery. Though given the state of a certain spooky tower where those tendrils look like they are growing as massive fungi, it's gotta be more than just burst pipes. Also, did we all catch the RA room that ? that one creeped me the fuck out when I realized what was up.

I'm with dubs on this one. I love the idea of mounted archer combat and hunting, and there's no reason we shouldn't have that option. It's one of the hunting strats humans have used for millennia.Hopefully some of the dejanking updates coming this spring/summer help out.
