The only time drifters spawn on top of me is if I'm standing still on a spawnable block.  Maybe you should not be so sedentary during a temporal storm?

or you can hide underground somewhere in your cellar or basement

i am not sure but i dont think they spawn like that underground, they never spawned so close to me when i was in my cellar

Thanks! I'll add more lanterns when my bees allow, hopefully that'll help!

if you already got a lantern it should be enough for 7x7, I havent seen a single drifter spawn down in my cellar with the lantern there so it might be something else

did a rift form nearby your cellar and did that cause those drifters to spawn?

  3. I think the problem is depth

I had this happen to me before too

My cellar was down a ladder and the cave music played when I climbed completely down to the cellar but now when I was a block up. Also to stop the drifter spawns light it up properly.

Prospecting and luck. It's a rare ore sometimes found in sedimentary rock, and definitely not renewable. Not sure what Irulana meant.

That said, horsetail is renewable. The method is just a bit weird. When you leave farmland fallow, there is a chance that, over time, grass will spawn on it. And rarely, horsetail may spawn instead of grass. So, tilling a large amount of farmland and checking it once an ingame month will give you a small income of horsetail (and a lot of grass for animal feed as well).

I have noticed the horsetail growing but its too rare. i have collected them separately and i only got about 10 from the fields

I wish some kind of healing plant would be farmable properly

Try search sandstone and limestone areas. If you don't have any around base, try translocators. Nice set of translocators around your base is important to get many rare resources. It's renawable for me as the biggest cost is flax and honey. We travel a lot and rarely harvest sulfur, we usally left it behind, as the receipt don't use it much, You don't need many of that. Once you find a region with sulfur it would last for loooong time.

I just found some sulfur in sandstone but its quite far away from my base to go back and find some more

It is found in chert too? cause thats the type of rock that my base has

To the best of my knowledge, the *intent* is for them to regrow.  So probably either a bug, or a feature that just didn't get implemented yet.

The tree branch i broke of a tree seems to have grown back, will break it again to see if it grows again

the trees seem a bit buggy, i got a message saying it will take -2 days till it flowers or something and i got zero fruits the first year but suddenly after winter they are growing

idk if the update did it

Edit: i dont think it grew back actually, the tree grew back leaves but its smaller now

I like the open square floor plan! Cozy and defensible. Do you find it gives you any problems with expansion later on?

    Thanks

I guess i can expand from the back but i didnt plan on making it expandable, its just a temp base

I made a new bigger base nearby after i got copper tools
