Hello everyone, I’d love to see a bit of a revamp for torches in Vintage Story, especially to make them feel more immersive and balanced. Here are the changes I’d like to see: Torches Consistent Burnout Timer – A torch should retain its remaining burn time when picked up and placed again. Handheld Torch Burnout – While held, a torch’s burnout timer should continue ticking, allowing it to eventually burn out in hand. Torch Rejuvenation – Applying dried grass should reset a torch’s burnout timer. For handheld torches, this should be a crafting grid recipe. For placed torches, clicking on them with dried grass should refresh them. New Torch Fuel Options – Introduce a way to extend a torch’s life by crafting a new fuel source. One recipe could mix grass and resin for an extended burn time, while another using birch bark and resin could extend it even further. Torches Extinguish in Inventory – When a torch is placed in inventory, it should extinguish. (Some mods do this already, but having it integrated removes the need for an extra mod.) Bonus Changes Apply the same mechanics to other light sources where applicable. Replace infinite light sources with long-lasting burnout timers, making them “set and forget” with occasional upkeep. Consider adding a special light source with infinite life if crafted using ancient technology found in ruins. How feasible is this, and does this provide an interesting challenge to someone wanting to take a stab at it?!

Hello everyone, I have a request for a couple of tree mods or perhaps someone can point me to similar mods: - Auto plant a seed when a tree is chopped down. Only do so if the tree would drop a seed and only plant one seed if multiple seeds are dropped. - Trees periodically drops/tosses a seed that plants itself. Probably need the seed to be tossed a little ways away from the tree to get good tree spread? Thanks in advance you smart people!
