It's annoying that most of the wood and rock textures are ugly as hell, pretty sure most players only use oak + granite/conglomerate/limestone in their builds, which makes looking for oak or appropriate rock strata annoying, especially with the current rock strata generation which spans for thousands of blocks.
Would it be possible to add texture variety to decorative/functional block like the tables, the shelves etc. AND lower the vibrancy of current wood/rock textures? imho if they were a bit less vibrant they would be much more usable in builds and players wouldn't have to wander around for years looking for a certain kind of rock.
Also to satisfy people who used those vibrant textures for their chiseling works you could implement dyeable blocks!
