I tried for hours last night to figure out how to connect to a LAN game so my wife and I could play with our grandkids. We all tried starting a single player game and clicking the Open to LAN, one at a time, to see if anyone else could find how to join it.I didn't think you needed to use port forwarding for a LAN but I tried it anyway. I read through posts and tried many times to open port forwarding which apparently is impossible on StarLink without adding your own router. I did try opening port 42420 as suggested on windows firewall settings but that didn't work either. It turns out it was working the whole time, we just didn't know what to click on to actually connect to each other. Having one player (the host) start a single player game, press escape button and click "Open to LAN" Then everyone else click on multiplayer, then click "Add new Server" and under "Host/IP Address" put in the IP of the person that started the single player game (it tells them what that number is on their screen) and give it a name. Then just click "Create" button and your LAN server will show up under Multiplayer and you click it to connect to each other. I have no clue how to update a Wiki but if someone else could add this information into the Wiki I think it would help other players like myself that got confused about how to connect over a LAN.
