  1. I managed to manually set the correct path to the dotnet install. This game wants me to lose my mind and it is making progress. Now I got a message I honestly don't even know how to deal with anymore. HOW IS IT THAT WHEN I SCRUB THIS PROGRAM WITH THE CORRECT PATH ON IT'S FACE IT CAN'T FIND IT??????? You must install .NET to run this application. App: /var/home/lia/Games/VS/vs_client_linux-x64_1.22.3/vintagestory/Vintagestory Architecture: x64 App host version: 10.0.1 .NET location: Not found The following locations were searched: Application directory: /var/home/lia/Games/VS/vs_client_linux-x64_1.22.3/vintagestory/ Environment variable: DOTNET_ROOT = /var/home/linuxbrew/.linuxbrew/Cellar/dotnet Learn more: https://aka.ms/dotnet/app-launch-failed Download the .NET runtime: https://aka.ms/dotnet-core-applaunch?missing_runtime=true&arch=x64&rid=linux-x64&os=bazzite.44&apphost_version=10.0.1
  2. I did the download + extract method to try it out. Turns out that when I run the run.sh as an executable, it "can't find .NET 10". I got this #$%@* installed a while back and checked that I do have this installed. I'm looking into how to make it so whatever it is that searches for this stupid program can find it.
  3. Consider me an absolute linux iliterate. How should I use "run.sh"? Explain as if I was using your PC and you're afraid I'll brick it.
  4. The terminal returns a similar message to what my system log when I try to run VS. I copy pasted the result in the attached .txt file. The crashes are in desktop mode. I considered just reinstalling the OS so it would run in Game Mode, but I don't have a backup pc to use for troubleshooting in case something goes wrong with a fresh install. And the information I found online points to Game Mode only being accessible if I install the specific version of bazzite that boots like that. Since I always used my desktop for more than just gaming, I asked the tech guy to install the desktop version. I just didn't know better at the time. VS crash.txt
  5. I tried installing through the app center (Bazaar), through a flatpak command on the terminal, and also using Lutris with the file that's downloadable on the page for linux installs. The thing about having to play games on Big Picture is that for some reason they crash in a short time if I don't
  6. Hello, and thanks for whoever helps. I had my pc running a windows OS until not too long ago, but now I am running the Bazzite distro of Linux. I've been having a less than smooth gaming experience, since I had no prior knowledge and that was kinda expected. However, I can't even open the game! It was troublesome enough finding out I HAVE to play games on Steam's big picture mode, but VS isn't even opening before it crashes! I miss playing this game ;-; Is there any benevolent soul out there willing to help out a fellow gamer? Please?
